The FJ Moto Adventure Rally made its highly anticipated debut as part of the 2023 Rimba Raid Asia Qualifier, marking a pivotal moment in the Philippine adventure racing scene. Held on the grueling and unforgiving terrain of Gen. Nakar, Quezon, the event tested the limits of both rider and machine, pushing participants to their extremes. The rugged landscape of Gen. Nakar, known for its challenging mix of steep inclines, rocky paths, and unpredictable weather conditions, provided the perfect backdrop for this high-stakes competition.
In a collaboration between FJ Moto Enduro and KTM Philippines, the rally attracted the country’s top adventure riders, eager to showcase their skills on this punishing course. RIMBA RAID IN MALAYSIA
History was made at the Rimba Raid in Malaysia in 2023 when five Filipino riders showcased their talent on the international stage. In addition to the official Philippine representative, Ian Ordoñez, four other Filipino riders made their debut in the prestigious race. Arvin Bacas, a former FJ Moto Enduro rider, made a significant mark by becoming the first Filipino to secure a top 6 finish in the Silver Class category. Meanwhile, riders Des Buncio, Marvin Martinez, and Daco Dacuno of Team CF Moto Philippines also delivered commendable performances, making a strong and gallant run in the race, further cementing the Philippines' presence in international adventure racing.
The participation of these Filipino riders is a testament to the growing talent and ambition within the country's adventure riding community.
